Updated Bethel Museum Website
We updated the design and format of the BethelMuseum.org website to make it simple in design with less scrolling to help you find what you need. Look through the menu and check it out. Part of the reason for the new design is the recent addition of newsletter. The newsletter will be published on a regular basis and is replacing the news posts. Ohio's Open Doors Special Presentation at Bethel Museum
On Saturday, Sept. 19th from 10am - 4pm, the Bethel Historical Society will feature a special presentation of a local Civil War soldier James McMurchy, from Bethel, Ohio. James was a POW and survivor of Andersonville Prison Camp in southwest Georgia where tens of thousands of Union soldiers were confined (1864-1865). James kept a secret diary which will be on display on Ohio's Open Doors Day at the Bethel Historical Museum, 235 W. Plane Street, Bethel, Ohio 45106 in Clermont

Ulysses S Grant Statue Dedication Postponed
Due to issues beyond our control, the statue installation has been postponed. The new dedication date will be on 4/27/2027. More details to come. If you have period outfits from the era of Grant's presidency (1869 to 1877), please wear them for this occasion! President Ulysses Grant
